How we research
How we research and update this site
Crane work is safety work, so the information on this site has to be right. This page explains where it comes from, how we check it and what we do when something changes.

Where our information comes from
Rules and requirements come from primary sources first: the federal crane standard in 29 CFR 1926 Subpart CC on ecfr.gov and osha.gov, ADOSH and the Industrial Commission of Arizona, MSHA for mining, and the certifying bodies' own published handbooks and policies. Local details on our county and city pages — employers, projects, highways, elevations and weather — come from public agencies, company announcements and established news outlets.
- Each page lists the sources we checked in a "Sources we checked" panel near the bottom.
- Figures such as pay data or exam fees name the publisher and the year or date they apply to.
- When we can't confirm a detail from a reliable source, we leave it out.
What we won't publish
We don't invent statistics, reviews, testimonials, instructors or students. We don't promise jobs, passing scores, licenses or shortcuts around the hands-on practical exam. We don't publish exam questions from any certifying body; our practice questions are written by our team to teach the concepts. Photos on this site are licensed stock images credited to their photographers and are not pictures of our students or specific job sites unless the caption says so.
Updates and corrections
Every page shows the date it was last reviewed. We recheck pages when regulations, certification policies or major local projects change. If you spot something out of date or wrong, send a note through the enrollment form and say which page it is; we review every correction request.
